TEAM SHOOT OUT

Team Members met at the RED course at 3 p.m. on April 24th to play the annual team shootout and have a year end party at Jan Bogg's home to celebrate their many successes.

Cathy Gaines managed to overcome Caroline Davis's superior play to win the silver cup on the 8th hole.

Luncheon was served at the Grill, Cathy Gaines and Sandy Camp did a lovely job setting the tables with centerpieces of various shopping bags from all of our favorite stores for their theme "Let's Go Shopping" now that golf season is over.................

APRIL GOLF RESULTS

Two hours of rain and wind, then two hours of sunshine describes the final day of play for the WWGA Scramble.  47 members teed off on the RED/HERITAGE course at 8:00 a.m. All but a few finished around noon.

34 TEAMS PLAYED Five Rounds of Nine Holes Each--Match Play.

March 21 - Putting Contest, then 9 holes on the Gold Course, then dinner at the Oasis Pool.  Weather was fabulous all three days but particularly warm and balmy at dinner on Wednesday night.


March 22 - Afternoon golf on the Red-Heritage Course after a perfect grilled hamburger/chips/fruit and chocolate chip cookies on the Patio at Red's Grill.

March 23 - Early Shotgun on the Blue Patriot Course and afterwards lunch in Red's Grill.  The best part of the lunch was the chocolate lava cake!!

65 golfers contributed to the Breast Cancer Rally and had a great time playing golf.  Raffle prizes were provided by many local business and golf courses and won by 11 lucky donors.

Low Net Men: Rick Oliveira. Low Net Women: Amanda Hinchey (Rick & Donna Robitaille's granddaughter)

Joe and Barbie raised $2,165.00 for Susan G. Komen, Rally for the Cure.  Their hard work getting great raffle prizes made the difference, raising nearly the same amount as in past years with many more players.

Thank you to both of you for going the extra mile.
