Members who play on the team are urged to TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THESE FREE INSTRUCTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.. The WWGA encourages all players who would like to play on the team and have a handicap of 25 or lower to participate in these clinics.  Last season our team won Low Net.

Thanks to Marge and Diane for organizing another exciting September game schedule. And Doris and Shel did a great job organizing tournaments for October. What amazing women!!

October 31 - SCRAMBLE on the Patriot course. Another beautiful morning. Forty lady golfers showed up and teed off at 8:00 a.m. Lunch followed at the Arizona Kitchen. Barb Everts & Ann Stoneback set up the tables with the Apple Pickin' theme, the food was exceptionally good. A big thank you to both Barb and Ann for their creativity and efforts.  

Thanks to Doris and Shel for their work on organizing the October events, not an easy job but a job well done!

October 24 - Patriot Course, cart path only. Not too bad, gorgeous day. Only the front nine counted in this tournament.

 Dixie DeWitt started her round on the 17th hole. On the first swing she managed to put her ball  into the cup! Wow. Congratulations to Dixie.

OPENING LUNCHEON

It's Apple Pickin' Time at the Wigwam" 

October 31st is the Wigwam Women's Golf Opening Luncheon at the Arizona Kitchen Wigwam Resort. Mark your calendars.

No one has to do a costume this year -- unless you want to, of course!  Bring your bushel baskets and pickin' gloves instead.  12 - 12:30-ish, for the non-golfers.  The poster will be in the locker room, with sign up on the bulletin board.

20 Members played the Patriot course which is closing for overseeding TODAY, THE 30TH OF SEPTEMBER.  Only the middle nine holes counted for the game. Weather is getting better......

Our first outing this season was a real surprise, 20 members showed up in 108 degree heat to play the Heritage course. The game was Lowest Putts so the winners showed they could Putt and quickly move off the green to cooler, tree shaded spots to wipe their brows and sip water............

A very special thank you to all the members who assisted in any way with the WWGA events this year. The tournament coordinators did an excellent job, tournament chairpersons oversaw and created exciting games for our members and the luncheons  created by tournament organizers and Judy Kennell and her assistants, Ro McVety and Jan Boggs, Liz Nelson, Barb Everts, Ann Stoneback, et al, were get togethers that not only provided sustenance but also  helped build relationships.

Judy Kennell was always there to provide gentle guidance and support, as well as Terry Barker, Molly Van Marter and Justin Creighton.
