OCTOBER OPENING LUNCHEON

OCTOBER - Michele Schuck & Barbie Paulson -  Tournament Coordinators

Michele & Barbie along with Justin in the pro shop are doing a wonderful job following in Marge Dick and Diane Haller's footsteps.  Barbie and Michele organized a luncheon in the West Room of  Red's Grill putting a FINE point on the Individual Eclectic this season.

OPENING DAY LUNCHEON

Forty members attended this lovely mid day meal at Litchfield's in the Wigwam Resort. Judy Kennell and Elizabeth Nelson planned and organized the meal and decorations. A delicious chicken salad and yummy desert was served. Thanksgiving/Halloween centerpieces were placed on the tables---all made by Elizabeth. With extra assistance from JoAnn Dun and Elvira, the event was special.

October 25 - ABCD Harvest Ball/Hero Event. Followed by Opening Day Luncheon in Litchfield's at the resort.  Players were provided an Orange Ball so each player in the foresome had an opportunity to be a hero and count her low net score twice. Weather was outstanding and the Patriot course was a bright emerald green having been recently overseeded; greens were slow but the field was moving right along and finished in a little over 4 hours. There were 4 really low scores on this day.

Winners:

First Place Team - Boggs, Nelson, Scott, Camp - Net 122
Second Place Team - Polumbus, Gannon, Mulvaine - Net 122
Third Place Team - Erickson, Stankovic, Wilson, Boyer - Net 124
Fourth Place Team - Wilner, DeWitt, Stoneback, Dick - Net 124

October 11 & 18 - Individual Eclectic.  27 players played round one on the Heritage Course on the 11th and returned to the familiar turf on the 18th to play round two.  The better score on each hole held for the contest. Lunch in the West Room of Red's Grill right after the final round was a great way to finish the two day tournament.  Round two had 28 members participating for a total of 30 members in this two day tournament that was moved from April, which is the month that this contest  is usually played.  We had a better than expected turnout moving it from April to October.

Winners were:

First Flight: 1st DeSino, 2nd Barker, 3rd Mayben, 4th Erickson
Second Flight: 1st Gannon, 2nd Paulson, 3rd Van Wagner, 4th Stankovic
Third Flight: 1st Scott, 2nd Armstrong, 3rd Stoneback, 4th Kirschner
Fourth Flight: 1st Mulvain, 2nd Haller, 3rd Buttemiller, 4th Boyer

Betty Scott and Barbara Mulvaine carded the lowest totals during the two days -- a 64! Congrats to them for their superior efforts on the Heritage course. Thanks to Justin for scorecards and scoring and thanks to all members who played.

Tynette DeSino

Molly Van Marter & Dee Mayben

October 4 -  The game was "Hate 'Em" and a slight alteration TO the traditional "Hate 'Em" game was played by 21 players on the Gold Course.  Rather than select the holes that would be deeemed par at the beginning of the round, players got to select the holes they wanted to change to par after the round was played. The real game scores were also kept for the Medallion Contest.
